Words to Music
Songwriting
Workshop

Are you a budding songwriter or a poet who thinks they could write the next big hit?  Or just like the idea of playing around with words and music? Julie Holland, who plays in the folk/blues band, Gramayr, will be leading this day long workshop in an idyllic meadow setting at Newbold, Coleorton, Leicestershire.

Forming part of the Ashby de la Zouch Arts Festival, no experience is needed, but if you can play an instrument please bring it along!

The day will start at 10.00 a.m. At 4.00 p.m. you will be invited to perform your work at an Open Mic or if you’re not ready for a public appearance just yet, Julie will do it for you!

The finalists of the Festival Song Writing competition will also be battling it out for a top prize of £50 but there is also a special prize of £25 for the best workshop entry.
