RULES
1. Entries must be submitted on a cassette tape or CD, with one typewritten copy of the lyrics.
2. The lyrics and music must be the original work of the composer(s).
3. A commercial recording or publication of the entry must NOT be released for sale before it is entered in the contest and must not have already been commercially available.
4. Recordings will be returned only if accompanied with an appropriate stamped addressed envelope. Otherwise they will be destroyed after the contest.
5. Entries may be the work of an individual or a collaborative effort. E.g. lyricist and musician.
6. The entry fee is £5 per song.
7. Entries must not exceed four minutes.
8. There is no limit to the number of entries submitted by the correct fee must be enclosed.
9. The provisional adjudication will be on the recordings submitted. From these 10 finalists will be chosen.
10. All finalists must be available to perform their entry on Saturday, 11th August, 2007 from 4.00 pm onwards. If you make the final and can’t make it, you can nominate a standin.
11. The closing date for entries is the 3rd August, 2007.
12. If you are not performing your work you must provide your own singer/musician.
13. The decision of the organisers will be final in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
14. Copyright to all entries remains with the authors.
15. Entry fee £5 per entry.
