The 10-Day Ebook written by Nick Daws is impressive to say the least! It covers everything you need to know about writing, publishing and marketing ebooks which is what you would expect, but the tremendous advantage it has over other courses of its type is its day by day advisory format which effectively puts an end to procrastination!
Each "day" or chapter if you prefer is written in clear, easily digestible chunks with each point leading logically into the next. At the end, a bulleted action plan is included to ensure you cover all the items in the chapter which certainly helps keep your nose to the grind stone!
If you follow the prescribed steps, you will not only have written your ebook, but have it on-line, ready for sale and a clear marketing plan in place to promote it all within the time frame of just 10 days!
Writen mainly as a guide to help sell non-fiction ebooks, the course keeps in mind the premise of turning a profit from your writing so begins by stressing the importance of doing proper research into what sort of information people are searching for and if there are enough of them to make the topic worthwhile writing an ebook on. Of course advice and tools are given on how to do this.
Talking of which, I'm pleased to say all links to additional resources point to free versions which means there is nothing further to pay after the purchase price of the course.
This is good news for cash strapped writers as the type of ebook Nick focuses on is the PDF variety which needs specialist software to turn Word documents into this type of digital ebook.
Being a writer himself, Nick well understands the need to write quickly. With several deadlines looming and maybe a novel calling, you can't afford to agonise for hours over a How-to or guide type ebook. Days 2, 3, and 4 detail Nick's own writing process which is not too dissimilar to the How To Write Your Novel And Finish It method!
Marketing is a vital aspect of any publishing venture of course which is why I was pleased to see it was covered extensively in days 7, 8, 9 and 10 which not only shows you how to easily, (please note the word!), set up a sales page and payment facilities with no prior knowledge of either, but also gives lots of advice on how to get others to promote your ebook.
I'm far from being a beginner when it comes to using ebooks either as a promotional tool or selling them, but I still found information in this course which was new to me, especially via some of the resource links contained in the main course and also in the free bonus offers.
Talking of which, there are 3 of these. The resource list of course, but also 12 techniques to devise a killer title and of particular interest, a report on how to get other writers to either write or contribute to your ebook.
To sum up, what I particularly liked about the 10 Day ebook course was it didn't assume prior knowledge of anything other than the ability to write so particularly good for newbies to epublishing and once the basic principles were grasped, anyone with a modicum of imagination would quickly realise the possibilities of using the system to promote all kinds of products and services.
Were there any negatives? Not really except at (£62) it is a bit expensive for writers who all ready have a good understanding of ebook publishing. For new epublishers it's a different matter.
To find and learn all the information contained in The 10 Day Ebook would take hours and hours of tedious web browsing. Having it presented in a ready made package makes it definitely worth the outlay. There is a guaranteed money back offer if you haven't made ,000 worth of sales in one month so that can't be bad!
