The Dream Quest One Poetry & Writing Contest is open to anyone who loves arranging words into the beautiful art of poetry or writing a short story that is worth telling everyone! And to all who have the ability to dream... Write a poem or short story for a chance to win cash prizes. All works must be original. http://www.dreamquestone.com
Write a poem, thirty lines or fewer on any subject, style, or form, typed or neatly hand printed.
And/or write a short story, five pages maximum length, on any subject or theme, creative writing fiction or non-fiction (including essay compositions, diary, journal entries and screenwriting). Also, must be typed or neatly hand printed.
Multiple poetry and short story entries are accepted.
Postmark deadline: July 31, 2010
All contest winners will be announced on August 31, 2010
Prizes:
Writing Contest First Prize is $500. Second Prize: $250. Third Prize: $100.
Poetry Contest First Prize is $250. Second Prize: $125. Third Prize: $50.
Entry fees: $10 per short story. Poetry Contest: $5 per poem.

Win a Holiday in Greece with your Short Story!
After last years success Limnisa is organizing a second short story competition. The top two winning entrants can choose between a FREE PLACE at our two week creative writing seminar in Greece, OR a one week FREE STAY in a Holiday Seaview Apartment in Greece, just a three minute walk from the beach.
We hope this will inspire the writers out there to pick up their pens!
Limnisa is looking for short stories, up to 3000 words on any subject. Entrance fee is £5.-

The Pages Annual Short Story and Poetry Competition with the theme \'Yesterday\' has been extended. The new deadline is December 31st. 2010. The entry fee is £2.50 per entry, and you can send as many entries as you wish.

Flash 500 is a quarterly open-themed competition with closing dates of 31st March, 30th June, 30th September and 31st December. The results will be announced within six weeks of each closing date and the three winning entries each quarter will be published on the competition website.
