<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>I knew there was a storm on the way.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>It's been so humid and clammy today. <span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;</span>Hubby went to bed really early tonight and after he went I sat outside for a while with my book.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>The thunder was rolling around and occasionally cracking overhead.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>A couple of bright flashes made me jump.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>As the first big plops of rain landed around me on the patio, I closed the book, folded my chair and set it against the table, came inside and locked the door.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>Now it's raining cats and dogs, and I can still hear the thunder and see the flashes, though they are farther away.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>I'm feeling lucky really, because this morning I washed two sets of curtains from downstairs at the back of the house, then changed the bed and did another load of linen and shirts and things. <span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp;</span>The curtains have been pressed and rehung, and the rest of it is dry and in the ironing pile for tomorrow.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The rest of my evening is earmarked for the computer.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span>But with this storm, I'm not sure how safe I feel pounding the keyboard.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes">&nbsp; </span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Or is that just another excuse for my current writers' block?</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
