Hi,
I am a bit puzzled!, and I am wondering if writing as you say it is a bad thing or a good thing- Can anyone enlighten me?

- Thank you to all the comments they do make sense. x
- hI Nicky09 I write how I say it all the time but I always get it wrong LOL only joking. I find it easier to convert to the English dictionary. I would like to write in my Scottish voice but find it to difficult.
- I think it's a jolly good thing and makes reading far more interesting. I have to say I enjoy my fiction writing far more when it follows the dialect of a particular area - and makes my readers laugh. On the other hand it would be a bit boring if you add in all the 'I know'; 'sort of', or 'like' as so many young people use. Try it - you can always knock it out if it's not a success.
- It's a matter of horses for courses. Study your target market for writing style and write the way they do! I've written quite often in the vernacular when writing fiction, it can make your work stand out if done properly.
- I'm certainly no writing boffin, Nicky, but from a reader's point of view I think it's easier to read information as one would hear it spoken in a natural environment. So it depends on the environment and audience for whom you are writing. I wonder if that makes sense?
