The old man he travels

All around the City he goes

He sits in the park to rest

The sun on his face

Before traveling at a steady pace

His trusty dog by his side

Tramping along the road

An old bus shelter for his humble abode

They have tramped about and shared people's scorn

And lie side by side to keep each other warm.

But come Christmas he sits by a fire of logs

in a soup kitchen with his trusty dog

A Christmas message he will share

With other people who are homeless everywhere
