Hi, I went along to the writers group, and yes I did enjoy it . I have two free sessions and then I have to pay, I was surprised when I went into the group my youngest daughter, boyfriend was sitting in the group. He is an artist, and she sent him to make me feel a little more comfortable. Garry he was the one who first started the group, when he was the manager of community arts . I also have a friend who writes and she brought some of my old work from the writers work shop, that we both attended in 1983. I can't believe that she still had the magazines.. I have just finished a 17,000 word story it's ' The lighthouse' .' I didn't even recognise the story in the magazine , because I have changed it so many times. my husband was learning calligraphy' and some of his work was in it. We had a laugh at his first attempts. But as for the group , I think I will enjoy it and it's nice to meet other writers face to face and learn from them. I will still do my own projects on the Internet as I have being doing in the past.
