Nodding off
On the last part of the journey back from England I had to really (really) stop myself giggling during the night, watching people's heads loll off their shoulders.
Now, I know this is a normal occurence on such journeys, but the evening before I had seen a Mr. Bean sketch where he was in church and, after having trouble with a sweet wrapper, he fell asleep in the pew and ended up on the floor.
I swear one of the passengers was doing the same!
I may not have noticed had it not been for the young lady sitting next to my daughter who also continued falling and sharply straightening up, I had to play the strict mum to stop my daughter giggling there so was awake and alert for a long time as most people were dozing.
Further down the coach, towards the front, I noticed a man having problems keeping on the headrest adn then little by little as he fell into a deeper sleep he started falling, headfirst, into the aisle! Exactly like the Mr. Bean scene!!! His head even went lower than his knees many times and I don't know how I kept myself together, but I have never wanted to giggle so much in my life, am still chuckling now at the memory :-)
All I can say is it's a good job nobody else caught my eye.
- I don't think I'd have been able to stop my self, Solita. Very amusing :-)
- Yup, I'd be there, falling into the isle. Drooling profusely, no doubt. I think I used to do the jerk-straight-occasionally routine in younger days but now I just sag.
