Lovin' it!
I know it’s only been a few days since I set up my little story-blog, but it’s proving enjoyable past all expectations. Well, to me, that is. I’ve got some great feedback already, and many thanks to those who’ve subscribed / commented / helped with typos. The best thing, though, is the “Freeedoooomm!” to quote Mel Gibson. No longer bound by 1 or 2 K words! I don’t have to lop and cut like Procrustes fitting people into his bed. The joy, the joy!
I expect I’ll re-read and find (or someone will point out to me) plenty of places that should have been cut out anyway. But still, I don’t have to think of new scenarios every single day. The relief! Currently in the lap of luxury, purring, and churning, padding like a contented cat on the keyboard.
Naturally, there’s still a string of competitions I haven’t written for yet, there’s anthology submissions un-plotted, and of course the eternal Old Novel in the background, forever collecting dust, un-edited but still blocking the way for new ones. I feel I might finally be moving, though.
If you feel stuck in a rut, try something new. Sounds obvious once it's said, doesn’t it?
See www.codinebourbon.blogspot.com for what’s going on. The first story is still in progress, with daily updates.
- Hey Moosey, just finished reading - absolutely loved it. Tried posting on the site, not sure if it took but will check later. Congrats on a terrific tale.
- Hey moosey - I'll have a look at explorer later, or, more to the point, I'll get my wife to. She's the expert on that kind of thing. Just read up to part 5 and wanted to say that I'm lovin it. Paper towels spontaneously combusting - excellent. Will comment on the blog too. Great stuff.
- Hey Moosey - just read part two. It is very intriguing. Looking forward to seeing
who the man is. I'll get back to it later. I think the choice of background is fine, still having problems with the scrolling though. It jumps around on me too much. Maybe it is just me though lol
- Just caught the first part, Moosey. Enjoyed it, but little legs is screaming at me so I'm gonna come back to it later. One problem though and I don't know if it's just me, but the scrolling is really clunky making it difficult to keep track of the page. My comp can be temperamental at times.
- I like the contented cat image. I always think of it as a pig in mud! Except that I'm not at the moment - I've definitely got to the 'squeezing toothpaste from an empty tube' stage.
