Good advice from David Nicky. Check your site mail as just before Christmas I had an email from a software consultancy looking for a blogger and content writer. It might be something in your line, given word length, payment was reasonable.

I don't believe in luck, Nicky. I believe in making your luck.

If you're a sales adivsor, then you know that you do not sell technology. You sell the advantages technology will bring to your customers. Approach the writing in the same way.

For instance, if you say to me,"this thing has an inbuilt 109-key motherboard, driven by an intel four core, one TB processor, and quadrophonic speakers that will deliver 180epnd at 50 metres" I'd probably walk away. But if you say to me, "this thing will not only hang your washing out, but iron it, too," then I'm listening.

I come across too many blogs that are like the first example, and it would be refreshing to find one that is like the second. Tell me what it does, not what makes it tick.

When you have your pieces ready, there are hundreds of tech mags and review sites sitting out there looking for content. Pick, them and pitch them. Tell them what you have to offer. Tell them you're ready to guest blog for them. Don't be shy about putting yourself forward. When you're selling, sell yourself first. And above all, remember my current maxim. Doubt everyone else. Never doubt yourself.
