- My sister, in her excitement at my arrival, forgot to get me a Christmas card. Upon my arrival th home I found a lovely New Year card with Big Ben she had sent. I had been on my first, albeit one day, trip to London so it was the perfect card and arrived perfectly in time. I shall treasure it. Happy New Year Bob!
- Ditto "Wordsmith" comments (with an aside about the "Resolution" date - probably closer to 1770's). My up-dated E-Card for New Year 2012 arrived this morning complete with SOUND of Bagpipes playing "Auld Lang Syne" at Edinburgh Castle. NOT my choice for an alarm clock on ANY day of the year. Just confirms my lack of Royal blood! I'm hoping there's enough time this year to fit all the projects in. And hope YOU did your toe into the on-line market. A Ghost Story at .99-cents online 24/7/365 viewable by every known computer-owner in the WWW - could generate more that ANY hard-print venue! Good Luck in 2012.
- What a lovely collection of images, Bob. My parents always sent a card to our neighbours who hailed from north of the border and good old Woolies certainly stocked them but not seen New Year cards for a while. These old postcard ones remind me of a collection of cards I have that were sent to my father about a decade later than your selection.
