Back in the saddle
It has been a while since my last post, with good reason. Pregnancy Brain.
Yes, it most certainly does exist.
I lost my ability to string more than two coherant sentences together. On the short journey from lounge to kitchen I couldn't even remember if I was making tea or coffee for Phil, to the point where I would have to ask him three or four times and even then there was no guarrantee that he'd get what he asked for.
I would fuddle my words when in conversation and forget what I was talking about.
Taking that into consideration and a goodly dose of Sleep Deprivation, something had to give.
There has been so much going on and I'm not sure where to start.
The therapy work is non existent so I am a full time Mum and whilst Lara is of an age where she likes to be independant, she still likes to help me around the house etc. so still not much time to sit and write, unless she is asleep. Hard to believe she will be twenty months old tomorrow.
Any way, I just thought I'd let you know that I'm 'back in the saddle' and have made a start with my new blog 'The Accidental Poet' altough it is still a work in progress at the moment.

Hope to see you pop by at some point and if you have any suggested changes to the layout etc. please let me know.
Happy writing.
- Pleased to see you back, Laurie. Lara looks a sweetie and well worth the distraction. It doesn't last for ever.
- I'm past all that and not sure if I'm glad or sad about it. Grandchildren make up for it anyway. I am rarely able to write a word when they are around. And don't we love having them and then giving them back? Best of luck with the new blog. I'm off to take a look.
- Having had four kids to contend with, two of which are twins, I took every opportunity to escape that came up which is why I was a big noise in the W.I. for ten years and the local writers circle. Quite often N & D walked in one door and I out the other! Lovely photo by the way.
- LOL....I have changed that link Obi Wan....getting there slowly. Just be thankful men don't get pregnancy brain...
- Hi Laurie. Nice to see you back.
How do you mean pregnancy Brain? I had four kids and I worked all through each pregnancy. Never had a day off.
The real reason I'm posting here is to tell you I have your blog link ready for my next round of site updates, but you have a link to one of my blogs that's been dead longer than Chelsea's chances of the prem title. The only link I use now is http://www.dwrob.com Be grateful if you'd change it, if only to stop all your surfers coming back and playing the merry hell with you.
BTW, did I say it's nice to see you back?
