This is a small personal blog displaying many pieces of my fiction and non-fiction material that I have written in the past and during my studies at Univerisy of Huddersfield from which I have no graduated with a 2.1 Mark in BA Hons in English Studies with Creative Writing. Here you will also find updates on my writing explorations, trial of errors and any other creative events that occur in my life. I have already had some small sucess in my writing life in that a short story I wrote based in Norse Mytholoy and set in York got particular note and attention from none other than Joanne Harris upon her website release of the results of a Fan Fiction Competition she ran earlier this year.

'The Old Ways Never Die' - Now accessable via Joanne Harris's website!!!

Author: valkyrie (add to friends)

This past two weeks have been full of suprises! Not only have I had a picture of my dog feature in the local newspaper and be described as a 'favourite', not only has my Valkyrie short story 'The Old Ways Never Die' been honourable mentioned and described as 'great' by Joanne Harris herself on her website for her Fan Fic competition, not only did I get a suprise call from a local college I applied to work for ages and ages ago rung up and asked if I'm still interested and would I like an interview because the person they did hire was a 'time waster' not only all that!

But then Joanne Harris does me even more honour by providing a link to my short story on her Fan Fic page on her website! Just click on the lical link next to my name up where amongst the other winners of her Fan Fic competition!

Now even more people who are also adoring fans of Joanne's Runemarks can read my work as well and hopefully enjoy it. Perhaps one of them might be an agent and spot my little spark of talent :) Who knows? A lot of little good things have been happening recently hehehehe

Well done! Just read your story on the website and enjoyed it.
It sounds as though your dog is famous now so it has to be your turn next. Good Luck with the job interview.
