IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!

So far it's been a great day, but now I'm seriously worried ...

[More:]

Nearest and Dearest has just walked in and announced he's cooking dinner! I don't want to sound ungrateful, but although N & D has many talents, cooking ain't one of 'em!

The last time he cooked for me was the summer of '83. I was heavily pregnant with twins and confined to bed with a migraine. The mince beef casserole looked, (and tasted), as if he'd boiled lead shot with the contents of the washing up bowl!

I'm familiar with that kind of cooking, Sue ... mine.

Have a great birthday.

Happy birthday, Sue. I think you might need some fortitude when it comes to dinner tonight.

Happy birthday, Sue, and remember it's the thought that counts! And at least you're not expecting twins and don't have a migraine...

Bappy Hirthday!

You might be lucky. Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsey could be lurking about ... at least, in book form ;-)

Thank goodness I'm too old for twins and there is no way I'm letting him near my pork chops!

Happy Birthday, Sue. You don't look a day older than 21.

Hope you're having a great day, Sue and that dinner isn't the ordeal you're dreading.

Happy birthday, Sue. Let's hope he makes a real mess of the dinner, then he'll have to take you somewhere glamorous.

Happy Birthday - You'll just have to hope that over the years his cooking has improved. Still as they say - it's the thought that counts. You could always demand beans on toast as an alternative. Hope you enjoyed your day.
