I feel like I could sleep for a week and it has nothing to do with the cold weather!

Until last night, I've not been going to bed the same day as I got up! It began last Thursday when BF1 & BF2 and self drove to the far end of the county via what seemed like the east coast, to watch a performance of the Melstock Band. They gave us readings from Hardy, Clare, Barnes and others, played period musical instruments and sang folk carols, all great stuff. We were then invited to a post show party by the organisors who plied us with cheese and wine to the extent it was gone midnight when we got home!

Friday it was a five mile run with the local running club and a jolly down the pub until the wee small hours. I'm sure there is something wrong with the logic in this, but I'm not enquiring too closely!

Saturday, No 1 son organised his annual Bom Fest. Two very loud rock bands and an even louder hip hop disco plus a huge bonfire and around 200 "guests." I collapsed into bed at around 1.00 a.m. it finished sometime around 4.00 a.m. I'm told. Hope the neighbours are still speaking to me!

Sunday, made Christmas cake and cooked a roast for 6. Was very poor company as fell asleep until Survivors. Just managed to watch it all through then staggered into bed only to have periodic hot sweats and dream of lumps under my armpit!

Was quite surprised to find I still share the planet with the rest of humanity this morning!
