Blue Bell Warriors - Audio!

Creating audio files is easy and really useful for practising spoken verse. Blue Bell Warriors is my latest effort!

Artist: Sue Kendrick
Album: Through Our Eyes
Title: Blue Bell Warriors
Download this song here.

I saw the evening shadows bright,
trail from the drum of encroaching night
when all arrayed in helms of blue,
marched fairy soldiers through the dew.

Not for them the ordered lines,
that do so please the general’s eye.
But scattered wild beneath the trees,
like dancing dust motes on the breeze.

In that fair and lovely light,
I stood and stared from shadows bright
And wondered whose command or wish
had caused this magic, woodland tryst.

Then smiling with a knowing glance
at blossom bright and greening branch,
I knew this for a bridal bower,
flushed by fire, bedecked with flowers.

Proud amongst the green-gold shadows,
the fairy soldiers gathered.
waited for their lady gay
that would be crowned, Queen of May.

Thanks Sarah. Yes it is, but I rather think the next step would be some performing tips! Never mind, Rome wasn't built in a day!
