FRUSTRATED

It’s another outrageously beautiful day, but I’m feeling too miffed to enjoy it. Firstly, after fiddling and prodding and waving his arm bearing personal sat nav system at a passing satellite, Nearest & Dearest has informed me that the million mile bike trip of yesterday was in fact just 18.243679125 miles, (exactly!).

[More:]

This is slightly worrying as in a fit of post Christmas enthusiasm, I rashly volunteered to enter the London to Brighton bike ride which is 54 miles (roughly). I’ve tried comforting myself with the fact that I actually did another 4 miles while N & D went in search of a new tyre, but even my optimism takes a dive at the thought of a further 32 miles!

Secondly, I’m getting very frustrated at the lack of progress in our quest to find some trace of the Virgin Mary as per Graham Phillip’s book, The Marian Conspiracy. With the church at Llanchymedd locked and barred against the natives, who I’ve since discovered have a penchant for arson and the Well of Nothing much living up to its name big time, I’m hoping for better things at St. Pabo’s church at Llanbabo.

You'll be signing up for the Tour de France next, Sue. :) You're a kinder girl than I am. My N & D would have an internal personal sat nav if I'd been in your place.

Hope your pilgrimage pays off, Sue. Sounds like you're doing really well keeping fit and all, together with the glorious weather.

As for the title of Graham Phillip's book, The Marian Conspiracy - has that not got you wondering?

Lorraine in a house full of know-it-all men I've become adept at gritting my teeth! Marilyn, it certainly has, but keep tuned as things come to quite a dramatic conclusion!

The London - Brighton 'run' will probably be much more straight forward than the routes you have taken on this adventure bike ride, Sue. I'm sure you'll do it - and want to do it again! And you know, it's the excitement of the search, rather than the finding, that probably keeps you going at the moment. Still, let's hope you 'unearth' something at St. Pabo's Church...

54 miles on a bike - and I thought I was mad!
You'll manage it, I'm sure. Good luck for St Pabo's.

They say the London - Brighton ride is a crawl due to the amount of people taking part which suits me fine! Looks like I'm going to have to do some training though!
