How Many Thatched Cottages Does it Take to Lose and Actor?

Answer three!

[More:]

Leicestershire isn’t particularly noted for thatched cottages, but it just so happens that there are three within the Staunton Harold Estate which is where, The Aristocratic Neck, our Arts Festival murder walk took place.

In spite of a very carefully crafted map by yours truly, one of our actors still managed to get dropped off at the wrong cottage which meant that she was not in the correct place to greet the blood thirsty walkers who were tracking the unfortunate victim’s final steps! To make matters worse, not only did no-one have any idea where she was, (including her), but all attempts to contact the chauffeur were greeted by his answer phone, saying,

“Sorry, I can’t possibly take your call as I’m learning my lines!”

Faced with this alarming news, (in less than an hour he was due to deliver two major speeches at the performance), I did start to feel just the tweenist bit panicky! Fortunately the owner of said cottage took pity on our missing actress and transported her back to the Hall where our musical and prose presentation took place without a hitch.

Here’s few piccys to give a flavour of the day. As usual I’m the maid which is about par for the course these days!

Fantastic pix. It sounds like you had a great time, despite the minor hitches!

Thanks! It really was a great event and we've already been asked to put it on again! I'll try and get hold of a couple of the songs and upload, that'll test the blogs!

Sounds like a great time was had by all and that the 'little bit' of a hiccup only added to the fun! Great pictures, too!
