Spellings, spam and poetry reading!

It's the night before school and all is chaos in the house, my first son is learning his spellings for a test, his young brother is squeaking much louder than a mouse! My email spam box is near full to the brim, with junk notes that offer all kinds of bare sin...

[More:]

Yes, it's been a busy weekend, not least recovering from the poetry workshop I led on Friday. My Book Day costume - some poems/fairytales written on tissues and pinned to my jacket - went down well in that the kids were interested and wanted to read what they said. Unfortunately, I felt like I might take off any minute using the flapping tissues as wings, and I had again over-estimated concentration and understanding levels (my own as much as the kids'!). Well, they are only six and I am definitely learning all the time!

It's been a good weekend for reading and my own inspiration though. And while my spam email box still resembles a nudist beach (at least assuming the spam lives up to its titles - but I'm not checking!) my inbox is now in order. The only drwaback? No excuses now for not keeping up with my replies! ;-)

Lol! I'd like to have seen a picture of you in your tissue, fairy outfit. As you say, Sarah, it's sometimes amazing where or how the inspiration materialises. Sometimes it's a good idea to do something entirely different, however mad or overestimated it might seem at the time.

Thanks M. I was definitely a sight! I had intended to ask my hubby to get a pic but it was such a mad dash to get the costume sorted that he didn't get a chance...which is probably just as well! ;-)
