My reputation precedes me!

As a frequent swimmer and gym user, I'm well known at my local leisure centre. Many of the staff know me by name, though apparently not all. I'm still trying to work out whether to feel flattered or offended by what happened earlier today...

[More:]

Asking me if I'd lost a pair of gloves, the lady on reception said they'd been kindly handed in by someone saying they belonged to "that poet woman"! I guess it's nice to know I'm recognised, sort of!

As it turned out, the gloves weren't even mine. The mistake is understandable though, as staff are forever returning hats to me that I haven't even realised I've lost. All things considered, I guess it's lucky I wasn't referred to as "that mad hatter woman"!

Perhaps your next project should be a collection of poems or stories set in the leisure centre - seems like you have some fans there!

Not sure whether I have a reputation in any shape or form, Sarah, but, I do believe that the leisure centre collection of poems or stories might be a good idea, as mentioned by Linda.

Marit's feedback too, also has an element of truth as to the, let us say, elements as to what cultural elements life has in store for us with respect to how democracy comparmentalises us.

As for the mad hatter woman, I stand guilty as charged, I love hats!

Thank you all. Think most of my reputations probably involve the word mad: mad poet woman, mad hat woman, mad swimmer...!
