Countdown Continues...

If there were any truth in the belief that the camera captures one's soul then I would probably have lost mine a long time ago. Certainly, if there was anything left, the last of it went to the Worcester Evening News yesterday.

[More:]

I was very impressed by the amount of effort and interest the newspaper photographer put into trying to find an original pose that also showed off the new edition of the Remarkable Everyday, available just in case I forget to say from Legend Press at www.legendpress.co.uk. And, of course, it's just one day now to the official launch...

While the kids have been the past few days on their third caravan holiday (two-day break!) of the summer with Grandma and Grandpa, I have been busy working on a poem inspired by Fred D'Aguiar's Guardian poetry workshop on Coleridge's unfinished Kubla Khan poem. Though I didn't actually stick to the brief to finish the poem, I have managed to produce something inspired by the poem and workshop. It's still only an initial draft but I'm quite pleased with it so far and it's also one of the few poems my husband actually likes (which probably means I've gone wrong somewhere!).

My sister has also been busy on my new website (thanks Becs) which is shaping up really well, I've had hundreds of holiday snaps back (why do I always take so many pix when I know it will take hours to organise and date them etc?) and the sunflower is finally looking like it might get a small flower despite the lack of sun this summer. (I think it's only the plant food that's given it any chance of a bloom at all.)

So that just leaves labelling the clothes, shoes, bags etc for school and I might finally get to sit down and relax for a while...or maybe not!

I kind of get the feeling that you never sit down and just rest? Good luck with the launch!

Good luck with the launch today Sarah. Poem sounds interesting, and something I'd like too; just written an article on J.M.W Turner, and can relate to Romantics. I broke my camera lens recently, so no super pix for me for a while!

Thanks both.:-)
Sorry to hear about your camera, Marc and hope you manage to get it fixed or a new lens soon. Our last camera gave up the ghost after sand got into it on holiday last year. It is so frustrating to be without a camera and reasonable cameras are still so expensive to buy, even though technological improvements have made prices better than they once were.:-(
