I am an Oxford modern languages graduate and former journalist, now a full-time mother, poet and short story writer. I love reading, writing, swimming, squash, walking, mulled wine, watching television dramas or films and belly dancing.

Three days to go...

It's countdown time: three days to go until the official launch of Legend Press's new edition of Remarkable Everyday, containing my story Monday.

[More:]

I have been talking to the Worcester Evening News about it again today. The paper is sending a photographer tomorrow. Hurrah! I'm also feeling in a good mood today after having my poem From God to his doubtful disciples chosen for this month's writelink resources. Ironically enough though, for a day so full of talk about writing, I haven't actually achieved much actual writing! Still, there's always tomorrow!

For those who are in the mood for some serious short story writing, Legend Press has launched its call for submissions for 2009 Legend Press short story collection. More details of precisely what the company is looking for are on the publisher's website (linked above) but the deadline is the end of October and the wordcount is substantial (for a short story).

Happy Reading (of Remarkable Everyday, of course!) and Happy Writing!
