Everyday's Remarkable

My copy of the new edition of Legend Press's Remarkable Everyday short story anthology, containing one of my own stories, arrived today and I have to say the new cover does look fantastic. I love coincidences and irony and this cover is a prime example.

Now, I will do a lot to publicise and market my writing but everyone has to draw the line somewhere. I would never, for example, change my own image/cover to promote a book. However, I thought it was a great coincidence/irony that the week I decided to have my hair chopped was the week I found out the new edition was to sport a new cover. And then, the week my copy of the book with this new cover arrives turns out to be the week my sister sends me her plans for my new website (it's been on the cards for a while but this is the first time she's actually had a chance to work on it, though it's still nowhere near going live!).

I'm sure all these coincidences must be meant to tell me something - if only I could work out what! ;-)

Just looked at this quickly, Sarah, where do I find your story? Is it on your blog somewhere? I'd like to read it - always looking for inspiration! I agree coincidences are weird.

Thanks both,

I'm afraid the story's not on my blog. It's actually quite a long short story (nearly 9,000 words, that's Legend's publishing style) or, in this particular case, could be considered as three linked short stories.

The new edition of Remarkable Everyday is being launched by Legend on August 30th (though you can order now), but I believe there may still be a few copies of the old edition available. If you don't want to buy, it certainly might be worth asking if your library has the old edition.

Well done, Sarah. The cover is great, but having one of your stories inside is even better.
