Grindstone

It's been such a busy and productive day that I've had to escape to blogland in the hope the break will revive my brain-dead mind.

[More:]

Stuffed up with cold or hayfever and having hurt my back again (only minor I hope) I decided it was a good idea to have a rest from exercise today, especially given the number of deadlines and projects I have on the go. Inspiration has been hitting fast and furious this week, with the writelink resources deadline looming, poems on two other deadlined themes in the pipeline and Cat Smith from the new writer asking if I had anything on fathers. (I do, and another one in process inspired by her question.)

I do love it when my writing is like this, but, boy, is it tiring! I've also have a pre-school committee social tomorrow, a friend's wedding at the weekend and my son's cancelled sports day next week.

For those, who've asked about my winning photo I mentioned in my last blog, the local paper are supposed to be printing an article and picture of it this week. Hopefully, it will be on the paper's website and I can post a link, if not I'll try and upload a copy here. Meanwhile, I've found my nose again...now where's the grindstone?! ;-)

I need to have a lay down after reading that lot, but fat chance, hubby has entered me into a 7 mile race. I'm trying to think of an excuse not to go!

Hope your cold soon gets better, a hanky might be better than a grindstone!

Seven miles! That sounds like nothing compared to your London to Brighton! I can suggest lots of excuses if you really want one, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it really!
