Up, up...and boys away!

It's been a weekend of ups and downs...but mainly ups!

[More:]

The grandparents have bought a caravan, so the boys decided they wanted to spend the night in it, leaving us free to enjoy a childfree film, food and wine last night and a leisurely bike ride along the canal and pub lunch in the sunshine this morning. Bliss! I even managed to get a picture of the swans with their cygnets. I can't believe how quickly they've grown.

I also used the chance to do some stress-free shopping and managed to find an outfit for a hen night and wedding at the start of July. My new contact lenses are in so fingers crossed the trial will work and I can wear them for the hen night and wedding. The only hiccup of the day was when the printer stopped working, just as I have imminent competition deadlines. Still, at least the boys being out the house gave my husband time to fix it. I just hope it isn't a bad omen about my chances in the contests! ;-)

Fingers crossed for the competition! I'm sure the printer going on the blink was just one of those things and not an omen at all. ;-)
Good to hear that you still manage to grab some quality time together!

That sounds blissful indeed. And of course, that was not a bad omen. You really shouldn't tempt fate by even mentioning it. I bet you'll have some sort of success.

And then I forgot to say that's a great pic, too.

Thank you all for such lovely comments. Life is madder than ever at the mo but I'm hoping to have time to breathe again by the weekend! ;-)
