Worse for wear!

Both my dress and I are suffering the after-effects of too much wine at last night's fantastic summer ball.

[More:]

My husband's work do was a great night, so much so that I only realised this morning that some of the red wine had ended up on the white part of my dress, along with some of the dye from my red boa!

The girls at the gym had done me proud or the occasion, pinning my hair up beautifully and despite my aversion to dresses, it was nice to feel a little glam for a change. The venue, Nailcote Hall in Warwickshire, was a beautiful hotel set in some stunning countryside and the marquee was stunningly decorated.

Despite, a minor hangover this morning(I didn't really drink that much), I managed to make it into the hotel swimming pool this morning. And my laps of the pool proved useful not just at working the excess food and alcohol out of my body but also inspirational for a new poem, which I will be working on as soon as I feel a little more hydrated and alive!

Thank you Marc. It's nice to be back in jeans now though.

It sounds like a fab night, Sarah. You do look glam in that dress! And the boa gives it a little je ne sais quoi ... ;)

Glad you enjoyed!
