I must be mad - or masochistic!

THERE is no doubt that over-exercise has gone to my head. Why else would I be stupid enough to agree to an early morning jog with one of my best friends?

[More:]

It's not just, as I've already moaned in previous, that jogging is my least favourite form of exercise. (Give me swimming, squash, water aerobics, pilates, belly dancing or basically any other method of keeping fit any day!) But she is also a marathon runner!

Still, in an attempt to keep alive for even a small part of our jog, I have cunningly persuaded her that she needs to do a six-mile run on her way to pick me up! I just hope that's enough to tire her out to something close to my snail pace. Wish me luck!

Sarah, you will feel so good after it, and virtuous! (Says she - I hate jogging!) I have been promoted from ice packs and leg raises to swimming!

That's excellent news, Paola. I wish I could swim tomorrow instead of jog but our local pool is closed fro a swimming gala. :-(
I'm glad your knee is doing so well. You'll be off rock climbing or skiing I bet for your next travel piece! :-)

Now take it from one who knows (experience is not always a great thing): keep it up! If you dare think about stopping, all your accumulated muscle and fitness will/might turn to flab. So - make sure you enjoy it enough to keep going...

I always feel great after a run - the operative word there being after!

Good luck. :)

Marit, if that thought isn't enough to keep me going, nothing will be!:-)
Lo, yes after is definitely the best bit (as long as I don't overdo it and end up with aching muscles!). During wasn't too painful today either though, so fingers crossed.
