As One

An entry for the writelink Yule Sing Me One Song contest about how Christmas should be celebrated across the globe.

[More:]

As One

Now hear the hush of people waiting.
While night is here, yet dark is breaking
As new days dawn across the world.
For winter, summer, rain, cold snow or shine,
The light is coming now, it's Christmas time.

Our hearts are singing, goodwill's ringing,
For every race has this in common:
A sun and stars all nations share.
And winter, summer, rain, cold snow or shine,
The light is coming now, it's Christmas time.

Let's take this chance to stop and think.
Go share our joys, make more new friends
And face as one the trials life sends.
Yes, winter, summer, rain, cold snow or shine,
The light is coming now – it's Christmas time.

This is lovely, Sarah! At least I can imagine this being sung unlike mine, which I have by the way, finished, but it's not really a song - to be honest I don't know what it is!

Anyway, have a wonderful Christmas all of you, it is always that extra special with young children and something to treasure.
