At least my son isn't a train!
Oh, the joys of being a parent in the run-up to Christmas! If it isn't cards and negotiating Santa's shopping list then it's nativity costumes and Christmas parties.
Still, I appear to have come off light this year. My younger son's pre-school are providing his costume (I won't know what he is till I watch the performance) and my elder son is having his sheep costume provided by school, hurrah!
Some of his friends' parents haven't been quite so lucky, as they have to provide their children's costumes - a train and a snowflake, no less! (Yes, our minds were boggling at which version of the nativity includes a train at the stable! However, their 'play' is apparently entitled the Toy Shop, so we figure there may be some kind of extra storyline going on in addition to the traditional nativity!)
I have still had to get creative though, to help him produce a party hat for his Christmas party. (Roughly, translated 'help' means he tells me what he wants and I make it!) The end result is proudly modelled by 'Horse' here.

'Mum? Can you make me a beard for tomorrow?'
And, yes, of course I did!
Hope you all enjoy the plays.
I wait with baited breath and a box of tissues...
Hope it goes well, Dids. I'm sure she'll be fantastic.
