All shapes and sizes
When it comes to clothes sizes I really don't get it. I mean, what is the point in a size 10 by one manufacturer coming up closer to a size 12 in another brand? How on earth is one supposed to work it out!
Ok, so being honest, it's a long time since I had to look for a size 10 in any shop. But you get my point. Size x in one shop equals size y in another shop equals size t somewhere else.
Now I suppose, in theory, if you only ever buy from one shop this doesn't matter. (We won't get into the fact that most women's bodies not being shaped like matchstick models, a woman requiring a size x in one style might require a size z in another style in the same shop!) But I'm sure there must be a more efficient way of labelling clothes so that everyone knows where they stand wherever they shop.
Or perhaps there again, it's not the labels that are the problem, but the design of the actual clothes themselves. How else can one explain the fact that sometimes no matter what size I try on it, none of them fit!

I have to admit I get most of my trousers now from M & S cos I know I can get the lengths in short and if I buy classic fit I don't have to worry about the distinct difference between my waist and my tummy size!
It is complicated though having to look for the right size, style and length! Still, it's better than having to alterations myself!
