Nah-nah! (Don't ask about the spelling cos I don't know!)

I know it's childish but I can't help it: nah-nah, nah, nah-nah, I'm on holiday! - Or, at least, I will be by the time anybody reads this.

[More:]

Of course, when I say holiday, I really mean a wet trip to Wales. This can just about be stretched to the description of holiday for the boys and my husband. There should be plenty of activities for the boys and hubby will be off work.

However, it's likely to be more work for me! First, there is all the packing and unpacking and the mountain of washing when we get back. Secondly,I have all the boys toys here at home, more space inside than in a caravan and I know everything is pretty safe if I take my eye off them for a few minutes. The same cannot be said for our holiday caravan, I know this from previous 'holidays'. We will have to keep a closer eye on the boys than usual. The change in routine may disrupt their (and our!) sleep, lie-ins will be hard (we try to take it in turns at the weekend) and because there are lots of things nearby to do, the children will probably want to be doing them all the time.

Still, extra work aside, it will be nice to get away and my husband being off work means we get to share parental responsibilities. With a bit of luck, hopefully I'll also manage to persuade him to do dinner out in the evenings rather than having to cook!
