Laughing logic!

The boys have had great fun today using me as a human slide. I hope they're still laughing when the effects of having no central heating or hot water kick in!

[More:]

Well, they do say it never rains but it pours, and it's certainly been doing that recently. Considering the flooding some people have had, I guess we're just lucky we're only without central heating and hot water, though I don't fancy our chances of getting an engineer out very quickly! So let's hope my hubby can fix it when he gets home.

Perhaps it's the resulting coldness that's put all of us in such a funny mood today. But this morning my four year old inquired why my handbag was called that when it didn't have any ham in it! I tried explaining that he had misheard and that it was bag one held with one's hand.

"No, it's a hambag!" he replied.

"Why?" I asked, somewhat foolishly.

"Because I say so!"

Now I wonder where he's heard that phrase before?!!!

The children and their logic - and don't you dare laugh, mum! I have grandsons with that kind of logic, and all too often what we say is repeated straight back at us.
Hope your hot water system and central heating is working again. Hot water is a must with little boys in the house. Do we dare hope for sun tomorrow?

Thanks Marit,
I'm afraid hubby can't fix it. He was hoping it was just the pilot light or the header tank but thinks its a thermocouple (?) that's gone! I'll have to try an get an engineer but I'm not going to hold my breath on how long it will take before one comes out!
