The wonder of women's creativity
One thing that never ceases to amaze me is how creative we women are, even if we don't always do ourselves full justice.
Of course, I'm not saying men aren't creative too. I just don't get to hear about it. Among my close female friends (many are also mums, the ultimate creation!) I have several who make jewellery, another who has a fashion design background, one who does fabulous cross-stitch, two artists who've just set up their own business Moonlit Murals, many family members and friends who make their own cards and then, of course, myself, writing poetry.
My friend Julie (from Moonlit Murals) painted two beautiful personalised canvases for me to send out to my sister when she had my nephew (see below). And her business partner Sam is doing a fantastic Spiderman-style canvas for my elder son's bedroom.
Anyway, I've helped to write the words for their website, though words can't come close to the pictures of their fabulous murals and canvases.

Comments, Pingbacks:
These canvases look like they might be silk paintings - very good!
Have you thought of collaberating with your friend, creating a children's book?
Yes funnily enough I had thought of that, the only problem is, at the moment at least, that I don't really write any children's stuff. If I produce another poetry collection, I'm sure they could design me a fantastic cover though, if they're interested. At the moment though, they're just concentrating on the murals and canvases.
And there's your writing too. Plenty of creativity!
After 43 years of marriage I firmly believe that our ability to multi-task is what will always hold us back, and yet is such a gift we shouldn't resent it.
