Unlucky Friday the 13th?
I'm not superstitious, but I should have known, it being Friday the 13th and tipping it down with rain, that the day wasn't going to turn out as planned!
My elder son now appears to have passed his germs onto his younger brother: two ill young children to deal with instead of one, great!
Apart from breaking up arguments, I've also spent the day trying to convince my elder son that I do know better than him how to make biscuits and rice crispie cakes! Despite this, I was still forced to concede/compromise and add colouring to the shortbread so it ended up looking like it had bogey green flecks. Delicious!
Then I took the children into town by car to pick up a few desperately needed groceries (I was beginning to feel like old Mother Hubbard!). Only my blood sugar dropped too low to drive back immediately, so I had to sit in the car waiting, with two children saying: "Can we go now, Mum?" about once every 30 seconds!
Anyway, you can imagine why I haven't worked on my third resources poetry submission today. Even though I'm not a superstitious person, I think that would have been a little too much like tempting fate!
Comments, Pingbacks:
When I got to work this morning, the drivers had bust the high pressure hose on my power wash, spilled muddy crystals all over the fuel point and broke the door handle to my inner sanctum.
Friday the 13th all right
Friday the 13th is it, well I'll just have to leave my 2nd Resources poetry submission until tomorrow 'cos I'm too knackered now to comprehend what it is exactly I'm trying to achieve.
I'll perhaps send it tomorrow, who knows though what tomorrow will bring, hopefully less rain and a bitmore sunshine!
