Well, I know it's my own fault for jinxing things by saying what a wonderful end of week I'd had!

I have been trying to get rid of some nursery/baby items and a chest of drawers through freecycle, rather than taking them to landfill. But I've already been let down twice by people who supposedly want the items not collecting when they said they would! It being Father's Day tomorrow, my husband also wanted us to go away for the weekend as a family but we had decided not to because of people coming to collect the items. Sometimes, you just can't win!

Then, mowing the lawn today I accidentally mowed down a frog. I think it must have been hiding under some of the overhanging bushes. It was horrible!

I'm still optimistically hoping though that the weather will clear up for my younger son's party next weekend. We have been tidying as we also have friends over on Monday and the health visitor doing his two year check on Tuesday. As they say, it never rains but it pours - only not normally in June!
