'Aving a Larf!

I've another opinion piece on TV today for the daily show (main screen) at www.yourkindatv.com.

[More:]

Writing for this comedy television website is a double initiation for me! Although my newspaper journalism diploma course did cover opinion pieces, it is the first time I've actually written them for publication and also the first time I've written for television. (Though if I could get my own filming expertise and equipment up to scratch then I'd love to have a go at combining poetry and film. But that's a different story!)

Anyway while we're on the topic of comedy and writing, I think it must have been a comedian responsible for the instructions for my younger son's tallboy flatpack. I finally put it up yesterday. According to the manufacturer, this should have been a 45 minute job. The truth is it took me four hours - more than five times longer! That's optimism for you! I guess it's just as well my husband didn't attempt it, or the thing would still be lying on the floor in pieces!

But how long would your hubby have taken to put it up :-)
I've stopped buying flatpacks. I couldn't stand the language.

He'd probably have taken longer or the same time but given up after 30 mins for an indefinite length break! I normally avoid flatpacks but we've had trouble getting ready made ones up the stairs!
