[More:]

I decided that it's much simpler that I've been trying to make it, so I'm doing the rounds as I'm having a rest post Boxing Day lunch. Plain, ordinary fare, to counteract yesterday's over-indulgence (no, not of the alcoholic kind - just a very, very nice lunch that I didn't have to cook!), so I'm not in need of a nap.
I started by writing my first blog entry on Accent Press. Stina (my daughter, for those of you not in the know)and I went to a writing day/event, here in Wales at the beginning of the month, where we signed up to their newsletter. Soon after we were invited to join their new online community. As it's based in Wales, I thought it might be a good idea. It's not exclusively Welsh at all, I'm pleased to say, although the member number is still small. If anyone's interested in taking a look at this small press community site, it's at http://accentpress.ning.com (the 'link' tab didn't work correctly).
Some of the members have been published by Accent Press itself.
Anyway, that's all besides the point; I just got carried away.

The Pages Issue 3, is out, and available at www.freewebs.com/theapprenticewriter
Those of you who are members should have received the online magazine issue (Issuu)from the site. Contributions for Issue 4 have started coming in, but we need more; if any of you have any to contribute, we would be very grateful.

I hope that you are all enjoying a Very Happy Christmas!

It's great to see the site progressing, and I must admit that after posting my poem for the competition, which was extended until the 15th October/November?, I really felt that perhaps I was in with a chance when finally submitting before the 15 October/Novemeber deadline? However, I've become more than a bit confused as to when the deadline is and whether or not I am a member, (and if I am?) I didn't get notification of the third publication of the online mag!)

As it is, I've missed the deadline for which I could've entered the said poem elsewhere, which was meant for a November publication, but having said that, perhaps it wasn't good enough as I've heard nothing since.

I would be grateful therefore, for a result for the last competition, or was this yet another online scam. I have emailed personally to ask about the results, but did not get a reply.

Hi Marit

Congrats on Issue 3. Did you forget you have my piece on wet wipes? If it's lost, and you still want it, I can send it again.

Best wishes for 2009.

Happy New Year everyone!
I've sent e-mails to Marilyn and Jean separately, but to just to clarify, my (and they are mostly mine) mistakes are mostly due to teething problems and broken equipment. No scams involved, promise - and the results of the competitions will be out soon. The judge is working on the short list, but requested today off! :-)
