It is great news Betty and Marit. For me, Carol Ann Duffy’s work has a present day, energetic pulse that is all inclusive as opposed to exclusive. Accessible to everyone in that they can recognise, empathise and feel it.
Apart from being a woman, Carol Ann Duffy has resurrected and redefined past myths by turning them on their heads so that they humorously, sensitively, lyrically and literally breathe new life; positively attuning and linking them to our present day culture - without missing a beat.
