Up and Down

I thought it would be fun to report on how Vlad the Inhaler is doing over on Authonomy, but the ups and downs, with so much at stake (excuse the pun) are not good for my heart.

[More:]

Vlad attained the dizzy heights of number two in the charts, but has since slipped back to number three with some good books chasing. If anyone is a member, but hasn't read Vlad, please do and, if you enjoy it, put it on your bookshelf. Even if it only rests there for five minutes, it still counts as a vote.

DWR has uploaded his humour book and it's very good. I've added it to my bookshelf.

Let me know if any of you have books on http://www.authonomy.com and I'll read them. There is always room on my shelf for a good book.

Lo

Great Lorraine. I have loaded Vlad to my bookshelf and David's also.
I'll have to read them both later.

It's a very interesting site, isn't it? I've added 4 books to my bookshelf. I hope it's okay to be just a reader on there as the stuff I write, being for young children, doesn't reach the 10,000 minimum word count required.

Hi Maureen, they are encouraging reader only members to get a sense of what the reading public wants. So if you know anyone else who might like to join, non-writers, but keen readers, give them the link.

If they have children, please ask them to read Vlad.

Hi Lo,

Have just signed up to the site and added yours and DW's books to my book shelf and will get 'round to some reading ASAP.

Not ready to post anything myself yet, I am about 3,000 words short of the required 10,000 word target.

But that's small fry compared to the 150,000 that I've been told I need to complete the novel.

I'm not a Mum, but have lot's of nephews and nieces and will encourage them to read it.

Fingers crossed for you.

Laurie.

Thanks so much, Laurie. Today I had my first feedback on the site from a child member. She says she has recommended Vlad to her teacher to read as a set book! I was thrilled.

Not sure when I'll get around to finishing it Lorraine, (I've added it to my bookshelf as suggested), but it certainly begins well. Good luck with it.

Gillyflower, thank you so much for adding Vlad to your shelf. If you have anything on there you would like me to read, please let me know.

Laurie, thank you for your good wishes. This is all getting VERY exciting.
