Hi Sarah, My message is HELP. Your blog is so competently handled and your name appeared at the side of mine, which remains inanimate.. not the right word for ait but it is doing nothing!...

DWR left a message for me which read..I's not an admin tab it's an admin link and it's right at the bottom of your page, under a heading "misc" where it says admin. Click that and it should open a whole new universe for you. If it doesn't well you've got problems and thankfully, I'm working today.

I love that humour, but i'll get him!

Problem is I have misc and under it only LOG IN and REGISTER. Not really what I want.

I happened upon the smart part of your site last night. How? don't ask me. Can't do it again. How did you arrange that lovely lily and its surrounds? All so aesthetically arranged.

I expect you are out with your boys today. Don't worry if you find this too late. I have plenty to do. Blogging at the mo is just filling in gaps between other things which are more pressing.

many thanks,
r.

Hi Rosa,

Ok, first things first. Have you previously registered? You won't be able to set up a blog or write a blog unless you've registered. I can't see your name on the blog list so I'm going to assume you're not registered. So:

1) you need to register by putting in (I think ) your email address and password (basically whatever you are asked to give). You will need to use these every time you login, unless you get your computer to remember them for you.

2) Once you have registered, you need to be in back-office to set up your blog. I can't remember if you go automatically to back-office when logging in or not. Essentially, if you can see fancy blog layouts you are not in back-office and you need to click on the admin link David mentioned.

3) Once in back-office, you can set up your blog using blog settings. There are all sort of options, including the general layout (known as the skin) for your website. (This is where my purple flower comes from, it is one of the options.)

This may sound a little complicated but it isn't once you get used to it. I would suggest you start by just playing around and seeing what things do.

I'm perfectly happy to ask if you have any questions. I can probably answer any specific questions much better (hopefully step by step)than giving generalised instructions. So if in doubt, please ask and I'll do my best.

Just to add to this comment, Sarah missed the obvious as I did earlier on. Rosa, I know you're registered or you couldn't have created your blog. But even when you're registered, you have to LOG IN. If you're being given the login instead of admin link, that's the problem.
