Haiku Diary - April 09

Author: jak (add to friends)

If you struggle through to the end of this one, you'll get to the cliffhanger. Will I make you wait till the end of May to find out what happens and if I go for one? You'll just have to wait and see.

Wed 1 Apr

We fly through the night.
Pinpoint lights below seem like
stars all up-side-down.

Thur 2 Apr

Speak to family
for catching up. Catching up –
My refrain today.

Fri 3 Apr

Happy at home, but
laundry goes on for ever.
Then a call from John.

Sat 4 Apr

G took passengers
to Stourhead, and got some steak
for a supper treat.

Sun 5 Apr

New plaque surrounded
by peace and beauty in the
crematorium.

Mon 6 Apr

Back at work at last.
Destination Osaka
needs some good research.

Tues 7 Apr

Today I lost my
Dad eleven years ago.
Where does the time go?

Wed 8 Apr

Kit has had a fall.
I send a card to the house,
not the hospital.

Thur 9 Apr

Chelsea called to say
she sadly failed her driving
test. It was her first.

Find a spare haiku.
Goes well with the Egypt pic
I post in blogspot.

Birthday meal for me
closes with coffee at friend
Lydia’s new house.

Sun 12 Apr

A second birthday
meal at Cholderton, when I
collect young Eryn.

Mon 13 Apr

We join the crowds at
Moors Valley Country Park, and
Eryn gets active.

Tues 14 Apr

Indoor fun today
at Climb Aboard when daughter
arrives for visit.

Wed 15 Apr

Heavy Horse Centre
is where we take Eryn to
get learning and fun.

Thur 16 Apr

Sun, sand, sea and wine.
Sandbanks Hotel has it all.
We are in heaven.

Fri 17 Apr

Years of engine oil
taken to the tip at last,
thanks to my daughter

Sat 18 Apr

Now they must go home.
Frenzy of cleaning for the
house viewing today.

Sun 19 Apr

Stay at home again
working in the office, as
there is lots to do.

Mon 20 Apr

Osaka has sold
for a second time. I write
about the cheongsam.

Tues 21 Apr

Wondrous white tulips,
delicate pointed petals
reaching for the sky.

Wed 22 Apr

Disappointed as
one home buyer disappears
but another looms.

Thur 23 Apr

Lonely turbine in
a field, catching all the wind.
Good – after Earth Day.

Fri 24 Apr

Memorial seat’s
where I may have lost my phone.
Meet friends without it.

Sat 25 Apr

At Rosemoor Gardens,
spring colours riot or peep
through the green bushes.

Sun 26 Apr

The Imperial
at Exeter is where we
taste festival beers.

Mon27 Apr

Good news on the house.
Someone wants to buy it now,
after all these months.

Tues 28 Apr

House hunting at the
coast is exhausting, but now
I have a shortlist.

Wed 29 Apr

More sales at CC.
Seven in total this month,
a good payment due.

Thur 30 Apr

Car passed MOT.
Good. I can go and see my
shortlist tomorrow.

Writing down your life like this, Jean, is quite unique I would've thought. It's a kind of diary, but the form is much more artistic and enjoyable to read. Are you going to publish it?

Congratulations on the sales and hope you find your dream home soon.

Thank you all so much for your generous comments. Now I'm going to reread as many of your posts as I can and do some commenting myself, instead of running away again.
