Another Three-Day Week

Author: jak (add to friends)

It’s all go at the moment. I’ve completed my three articles for CC this week. I submitted the first one, on the Chinese cheongsam, on Monday for a public request. That one was reviewed and accepted within an hour and a half. The editor always gives priority to requested material. I mentioned in my last post that it was snapped up straight away. On Tuesday I wrote about composition in photography, and yesterday produced my first full length article about Egypt.

[More:]

As they don’t relate to any current requests those have gone to the back of the pile and I don’t yet know if they will be accepted. I don’t often get rejections there, and am particular about proofing before submitting. I have to admit, though, it’s usually all done on the same day, and I don’t follow the famous writing guidelines about leaving it for a few days.

But if I do get any rejections they will have to wait till next week, because I’m off on the 4.13 train this afternoon for a jolly weekend in Devon with family and friends. And as usual, when I have everything mapped out, I now have more house viewings while I’m away, so I had to give the place yet another once over this morning.

Anyway, in great haste to get packing my weekend gear, ’bye for now.
