Time to Stop the Dreaming
Author: jak (add to friends)First I must apologise for not finding time to comment and otherwise participate here.
But second, we need to break out the champagne. It looks like I've sold my house. You probably know long I've been dreaming about this - it'll be two years in July that I first put it on the market.
It happened yesterday, and today hubby and I have been house hunting for ourselves. Out of a starting line up of eight, which changed with each estate agent, we are down to a short list of two, either of which would leave us pretty well penniless, but what the heck. You can't take it with you.
Now I've arranged for my daughter to come down from London on Friday to help me make the final decision before I make any offers. Wish me luck.
Signing off tired but happy.
Another Three-Day Week
Author: jak (add to friends)It’s all go at the moment. I’ve completed my three articles for CC this week. I submitted the first one, on the Chinese cheongsam, on Monday for a public request. That one was reviewed and accepted within an hour and a half. The editor always gives priority to requested material. I mentioned in my last post that it was snapped up straight away. On Tuesday I wrote about composition in photography, and yesterday produced my first full length article about Egypt.
Getting That Warm Feeling
Author: jak (add to friends)The other night, putting off going to bed, I idly googled my name.
I should do this more often. I got a very warm feeling when I found five of my articles sold at CC, that I hadn’t seen in publication before.
Moors Valley Country Park
Author: jak (add to friends)This is a picture of a corner of Moors Valley Country Park, near Bournemouth, where hubby and I took my granddaughter yesterday. I posted a slightly different pic in my blogspot blog yesterday.
Haiku Felicitations
Author: jak (add to friends)Happy Easter everyone.
Here is my March haiku diary. If the start is too tedious, Egypt begins on the 18th. Feel free to skip down. A few days I just had to write more than one.

Saw some rail line art.
Coins and cans were thoughtfully

A Wanderer Returns
Author: jak (add to friends)Since Tuesday is one of the days I have a blog for WL scheduled in, I thought I’d just drop by and let you all know that I’m still in the land of the living.
We had a great holiday in Egypt and have been back since the early hours of last Thursday, but I still haven’t had time to catch up with all the goings on in here.
