Haiku Diary - February 2009

Author: jak (add to friends)

Sun 1 Feb

Visit Stourhead shop
On our way home, for some steak
to cook for supper.

[More:]

Mon 2 Feb

Wake up to snow and
query Freelance Writerville.
Then do the laundry.

Tues 3 Feb

The world has stayed white
so I am office bound with
haiku for last month.

Wed 4 Feb

My black ink cartridge
must be changed. New one won’t fit.
Get new supplier.

Thur 5 Feb

Brisk walk in the cold
Watching out for slippy ice.
Exhilarating.

Fri 6 Feb

I was intrigued by
dragon and lion dance pics.
I will find out more.

Sat 7 Feb

What a boring day.
Wash, iron and clean the house.
Very little more.

Sun 8 Feb

We walk the river.
The Stour meanders brooklike,
unlike Master Thames.

Mon 9 Feb

Ink cartridges here.
Printer won’t cooperate.
I’m still printerless.

Tues 10 Feb

G came home with a
new cabby story, so I
wrote it for Writelink.

Wed 11 Feb

G tried a repair
But no joy with the printer.
Win an ebay bid.

Thur 12 Feb

P is for Peril
book sold on Green Met. Brisk walk
takes me to PO.

Fri 13 Feb

Query well received
at Freelance Writerville site.
I write and submit.

Sat 14 Feb

Curry take-away
follows evening at the pub.
English tradition.

Sun 15 Feb

River walk again,
then show G Bay Road footpath,
pass Lydia’s house.

Mon 16 Feb

Back to China now.
Find out about the goddess,
Mazu – of the sea.

Tues 17 Feb

Freelance Writerville
paid up for my writing piece.
Won’t make me rich though.

Wed 18 Feb

Send Julie flowers
for her birthday tomorrow,
but she is unwell.

Thur 19 Feb

Ask friends to comment
at Freelance Writerville, and
several comply.

Fri 20 Feb

Old article sells.
CC comes up trumps again.
Enter Writelink comp.

Sat 21 Feb

After our pub night,
take-away is crispy duck,
my most favourite.

Sun 22 Feb

Shopping in Yeovil,
spend too much on a black skirt
with embroidery.

Mon 23 Feb

Visit from Linda.
House viewing at short notice
means frantic clear up.

Tues 24 Feb

Write an American
piece on those brown bag lunches
that will save money.

Wed 25 Feb

Write of Amsterdam
parks, gardens and green spaces –
a change from canals.

Thur 26 Feb

Travel up by train
to help my poorly daughter
and see young Eryn.

Fri 27 Feb

Hillcroft AGM
means time away from my girls.
But they are coping.

Sat 28 Feb

Eryn starts to learn
roller skating with my help.
We have lots of laughs.

Always look forward to reading the next instalment - the dragon and lion pictures were beautiful!

Congratulations on yet more successes! Wow, you're an inspiration in more ways than one, Jean!

Another busy and productive month, Jak. You put me to shame - and still time for lots of laughs with the grandkids. Definitely the way to live life!
