with care on icy pathways,
took me into town.

Respond to JM
Adverts. Find they were both scams
to promote a site.

Fri 5 Dec

Take a Social Spark
opportunity that will
pay five US bucks.

Sat 6 Dec

Using new pinking
scissors, to remove lining,
gives curtains new life.

Sun 7 Dec

Go to visit Sye
in Dorchester with his friends.
Very tiring day.

Mon 8 Dec

Wrap parcels and send
with letter to Germany.
Christmas under way.

Tues 9 Dec

Mechanical Turk
reject will do for CC.
I am rewriting.

Wed 10 Dec

Inspiration is
everywhere, but I must
write Christmas letters.

Thur 11 Dec

Present wrapping and
parcel sending. Casserole
prepared for party.

Fri 12 Dec

My three curries cooked,
and decorations are up.
Christmas is coming.

Party day is here.
Goes on till after midnight.
Curries bring success.

Up at 6.30
to clear party detritus.
Visit the new shop.

Shorn by hairdresser.
More Christmas cards and letters.

Finish cards and letters.
Just hand-delivered to go.
Quite early for me.

Send off donations
to my fav'rite charities
for Christmas campaigns.

Thur 18 Dec

Drive up to Tolworth.
Bus to Kingston and the crowds.
Brave them to see Jay.

Fri 19 Dec

Shopping with Julie
then fix her computer
but not sound system.

Sat 20 Dec

Pizza Express lunch,
then we see Peter Pan at
the Epsom Playhouse.

Sun 21 Dec

Winter Wonderland
for an exciting day out
with children and friends.

Mon 22 Dec

Home again, I can
write of the charities I
support at Christmas.

Tues 23 Dec

Christmas food shopping,
last minute cards delivered,
and presents wrapped up.

Wed 24 Dec

Very merry night.
Drink cognac from a wine glass
in the Red Lion.

Thur 25 Dec

Have a drink next door
after family phone calls.
Then we dine à deux.

Fri 26 Dec

Summer’s leaf curtains
are drawn back to air the views
on our country drive.

Anticipating
exciting developments
with two grandchildren.

Chelsea dashes hopes
to introduce her to Ben.
