Haiku Diary - November

Author: jak (add to friends)

I know I have been remiss in not commenting and reviewing lately. I am trying out lots of different things I have discovered via other people's blogs, and I realise I'm stretching myself too far at present. Over the next few weeks I will be able to evaluate and decide what has to go, but I promise it won't be Writelink. I've managed to keep up the blogs and, if you'll bear with me, I really hope to be back up to speed soon.

Here is my haiku diary for November.

[More:]

Sat 1 Nov

Social Spark accept
my post. My on-line earnings
start to move on up.

Sun 2 Nov

Drive to B&Q
to check where my new doors are.
Hopes dashed yet again.

Mon 3 Nov

Submit two pieces
to CC and Helium.
Post a lengthy blog.

Tues 4 Nov

Drive with leather coat
to Bournemouth for new zip, then
surprise a good friend.

Wed 5 Nov

Made a bad mistake
with a piece no longer mine.
Stomach churning stuff.

Thur 6 Nov

Take on mindless work,
when I find Amazon Turk,
to keep myself calm.

Fri 7 Nov

All is well again.
My rewrites are now published.
Noone can complain.

Sat 8 Nov

All domestic stuff.
Check out the car to be moved.
Call movers Monday.

Sun 9 Nov

Prepost my haiku
for October on Writelink.
weather kept us in.

Mon 10 Nov

Space behind the house.
Son’s old banger has been moved.
Sleepy on the train.

Tue 11 Nov

Lucky with weather
for walking Torbay’s coast path
once again with Ruth.

Wed 12 Nov

Walk to town with sis
then take the afternoon train
past the Teign and Exe.

Thur 13 Nov

Write my books review.
Start China ski piece. Now I’m
right back in the swing.

Fri 14 Nov

Three pieces written:
Ski China; copywriting;
and a long tag blog.

Sat 15 Nov

No writing today
submitting takes time, and then
Strictly Come Dancing.

Sun 16 Nov

We are painting doors,
going from varnish to white
lightens up the house

Mon 17 Nov

Grey skies loom above
my shopping trip to Waitrose
by the River Stour.

Tues 18 Nov

Start hedgehog research
then find Helium star lost.
Work to put that right.

Wed 19 Nov

Education piece
submitted to Helium.
I want my star back.

Thur 20 Nov

Write hedgehog piece
for CC submission which
I’ll do tomorrow.

Fri 21 Nov

Christmas shopping trip
so presents can be exchanged
when I see my sis.

Sat 22 Nov

Preparations for
Peterborough trip take up
too much of my time.

Sun 23 Nov

Feeling left out as
I visit family friend
with sis and her spouse.

Mon 24V

Drive to Hunstanton:
bracing walk by empty beach;
white top waves roll in.

Tues 25 Nov

We are homeward bound.
Cheese toastie lunch for us all,
then get back to work.

Wed 26 Nov

Dentist and shopping
before I can write again.
Time just flies on by.

Thur 27 Nov

Laundry needed now
then I can write Kit’s story
for my Writelink blog.

Fri 28 Nov

Procrastinator
is my middle name this week.
Anything but write.

Sat 29 Nov

In slough of despond.
No reason, so I must find
the way up and out.

Sun 30 Nov

Must go out today.
Pavement pounding in the rain:
invigorating.

Nice words Jak and congrats on your successes and earnings.

Yeh, I'm contemplating what direction to take now too; must be the time of the year!
