Happenings in China - Again

I’ve been researching my next China article. Did you know that you can ski there? Right up in the far north, near Russia of course. And in January they have this fantastic ice festival.

Except for the people and the streetlights, everything in the picture is carved from ice with lights buried inside. It is from Wikimedia Commons and was taken in 2007.

Amazing what you can do with some frozen water! China's on my list, too, but I think I'd prefer to go at a warmer time of year.
