For holiday since G’s doc
Has sent him for tests.

So many hues of green.

Our ancient tent could be
used again for Isle of Wight’s
music festival.

Try to catch the birds
With my camera. Manage
one for blogger blog.

Tues 10 Jun

Meet my errant son
for breakfast at the farm shop.
‘Twas good to see him.

That makes all things taste so sweet.
One more for CC.

Thur 12 Jun

Collect my sick friend
from the station and give her
lots of TLC.

Fri 13 Jun

Driving to Torquay,
leaving Nora at hotel,
ending up with sis.

Sat 14 Jun

Party at The Drum,
Meeting Dean’s new family
In Cockington’s pub.

Sun 15 Jun

Locked out of the house
after chasing out a cat
and closing the door.

Mon 16 Jun

Ireland’s Own in mail
and a welcome cheque at last,
for Friday thirteenth.

Tues 17 Jun

Disappointing news
from Taiwan. I rework my
Kirusawa piece.

Wed 18 Jun

Concentrate on my
children’s story. Think I have
found the right market.

Thur 19 Jun

Laugh at joke emails.
Decide to share the fun, and
put it on Writelink.

Fri 20 Jun

Wedding and birthday
cards bought for other peoples’s
happy days to come.

Sat 21 Jun

Dreary Saturday
of ironing and paper
sorting and filing.

Sun 22 Jun

Treetops buffeted
by frenzied winds, as we sat
sipping drinks below.

Mon 23 Jun

G to hospital
for minor operation.
Drive on to London.

Tues 24 June

After hospital
with J, lunch by the river.
Then we hit the shops.

Wed 25 June

Mottisfont roses
in glorious bloom, and so
I get my pictures.

Thurs 26 Jun

Get my hair cut and
article accepted by
Justmarkets again.

Fri 27 Jun

Jamie story sent.
My first fiction submission.
What will come of it?

Sat 28 Jun

Sing to birthday girl.
Giggles come down the phone line.
Wish I could be there.

Sun 29 Jun

Quiet day at home.
Cook the fatted calf for a
Visit from my son.

Mon 30 Jun

Unsolicited,
My blogger blog was reviewed,
Before Shangri-La.

Another clever Haiku entry, Jak. I had to laugh at Sun 15 June! I'd love to hear more about your camping at the Isle of Wight's music festival.

You're so clever to condense so much info about the month's activities into such an abbreviated, entertaining and original diary form. Look forward to July!

Thanks folks. Must say, I enjoy writing these. They only take a few moments.

I might write the story of June 15th.

I didn't actually go the the Isle of Wight Festival. Sorry. I just lent out the tent, which we haven't used for at least fifteen years.

Another busy and productive month, Jak, and such a neat way of recounting them. I should follow your example.
