Feeling Energetic at Last

Author: jak (add to friends)

I’ve been awake since 5.45 this morning and I feel like I have a new lease of life.

[More:]

After weeks of sniffing, sneezing, coughing and hunkering down on the sofa, I just hadn’t been able to get back into the exercising routine. All I’ve been doing is writing, filing, keeping house and being pretty lazy. My energy levels have been non-existant.

Easter was a dead loss. The only time I left the house was to go to the pub with George for his birthday on Saturday. But last night I determined that I’d start today with Rosemary Conley. Hadn’t bargained on it being quite so early, but as I was wide awake, I thought I’d better get up and at it.

It certainly got me going. When G came in for breakfast I had the back door wide open as I needed cooling down. Since then I’ve made and eaten our cooked breakfast, done a wool wash, some gardening, tidied the house, taken a shower, washed my hair, been out for food shopping, delivered the recycling and come home with some cut flowers and new library books, and had a snack lunch. With the sun shining through the clouds I was still feeling energetic as I climbed the stairs to my office.

And here I am thinking about what to write about in my WL blog today. Too late, I think. It’s done.

Ah, sounds like a fantastic start to the day, wish I could borrow some of that energy. We've had a sluggish start to the holidays with me unable to exercise cos of my back and the boys constantly whining or fighting. (Okay, to be fair, they're not that bad but with Daniel not yet three he still wants a lot of carrying and attention from either his brother or me!)

Well done Jak, sounds like a nice and productive day.
I've got a day off work today, and had to catch up with my cleaning etc first too.
I was wondering if you'd like to contribute to a folding mirror ebook? I don't know if you've written any, but I remember your haikus, and you could compare the two forms if you want. I'm not planning on charging for it, so there would be no payment unless it gets taken up by a publisher.
Have a nice rest of the day, GG.

Thanks for the comments, folks. GG - thanks for the invite. Have a feeling I entered the folding mirror comp here but can't remember or find my poem. Perhaps I dreamt it. Anyway I'll mull over your request when I have some thinking time.
